About
Welcome to my website!
I am Mervenur Çetin, a Ph.D. Candidate in Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder. My work examines how people talk about emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence. From a sociotechnical perspective, I study the dynamic relationship between design and sense-making processes centered on identity and culture. Drawing on how people communicate with, through and about technologies, my research provides practical design and policy recommendations for using and learning technologies. This site shares my ongoing projects, publications, and opportunities for collaboration.

Collaboration
I welcome collaborations on projects exploring digital discourse, AI in everyday life, and the design of communicative technologies. I can contribute expertise in qualitative methods, critical theory, and interdisciplinary partnerships across communication, design, human–computer interaction, and science and technology studies.
